A shrine enshrining the spirits of those who died for their country in connection with Niigata Prefecture. It is situated amidst a pine forest, with a walking path along the side of the grounds. The shrine also features a restaurant and a guest house.
What visitors say
This shrine boasts a magnificent main hall (honden) set within extensive grounds and is bustling during events such as Shichi-Go-San (a coming-of-age celebration for children aged seven, five, and three). While free parking is available, visitors should be cautious of one-way traffic restrictions. Goshuin (calligraphic seal stamps) can be obtained using either a round or square seal. In August, the 'Mandou Mitama Matsuri' is held to commemorate war dead, featuring a portable shrine (mikoshi), Bon Odori (funeral dance), and food stalls.
