立本寺の塔頭の一つで、事前予約が必要な寺院です。山門の正面には釈迦牟尼仏像が安置されており、境内には美しい庭園や龍図、数多の仏像があります。御朱印は季節によって内容が変わるほか、島左近の刀や龍をモチーフにしたものもあり、非常に美しいと評判です。
