二王座歴史の道の中間に位置し、歴史を感じさせる町並みを眺められる休憩所として親しまれています。元お寺の建物は、座れる長椅子やトイレを備えた休憩スペースとして開放されており、二階や中二階の窓からは周辺の景観を一望できます。季節には雛めぐりなどのイベント会場としても利用されます。
