総門の入り口付近には美しい紫陽花が咲き誇り、川のせせらぎを感じながら参拝できます。駐車場はないため、北鎌倉駅から徒歩で向かうのが一般的です。拝観料を支払う場所として総門があり、早朝であればスムーズに入場できることもあります。
