境内は非常に静かで厳かな雰囲気に包まれており、立派な黒門や欅の大木、羅漢堂、十二支のお地蔵様など見どころがあります。春には桃の花やシダレザクラが咲き、塩野池から塩田平を眺めることもできます。参道は長い石段ですが、車であれば本堂前までアクセス可能です。
