住宅街にひっそりと佇む寺院で、駐車場や整備された墓地があります。本堂は鉄筋コンクリート造のモダンな造りとなっており、境内には浜松市内最古かつ最大の六地蔵や、藤棚、種田山頭火の俳句碑などが見どころです。徳川家康の正室・築山御前の廟堂「月窟廟」など、歴史的な墓所も綺麗に管理されています。
