History
Founded during the Muromachi period, the shrine was originally located in the Taniguchi section of the Kagawa district of the former village. In the second year of Keicho (1597 CE), the current site was selected, and shrine buildings were constructed to serve as a remote worship site (Yohaijo). On August 20, 1943 CE (Shōwa 18), the enshrined deities were transferred to the current location, and in the same month, a Shinto-style stone torii gate and komainu (guardian lions) were erected.
