江戸町人文学の中心的存在であった大田南畝の墓所があり、墓域への入域は許可制となっています。境内には銘のある碑石や水子のための観音立像が安置されています。小さなお寺ですが趣があり、参拝時にはお茶や寺紋入りのお菓子が提供されることもあります。
