南宗寺の敷地内にあり、境内は常に綺麗に管理されています。本堂では釈迦涅槃図や釈迦八相図の解説を受けることができ、歴史を感じさせる鬼瓦などの建築意匠も見どころです。周辺には解説盤があり、墓地には歴史的な人物の供養塔や墓碑が点在しています。
