鎌倉時代の武家造りを思わせる、素朴で質実な造りの本瓦葺四脚門です。門扉がなく、北門よりも幅が広いため、大きめの車でも本堂裏の駐車場へ進入できますが、車幅には注意が必要です。水濠や土塁が明確で、周囲の雰囲気を感じられる見どころとなっています。
