玉川八十八ヵ所霊場や東海三十三観音霊場の札所として知られています。銅板葺きの美しい屋根を持つ本堂や、風化した不思議な雰囲気の石仏など、歴史を感じさせる境内が特徴です。本堂手前の階段は風が通り、座ってゆっくりと過ごすこともできる落ち着いた空間です。
