Founded in 1617 by Joryo-bo Jyojun. It later relocated from Kanda to Asakusa Kijimacho, and moved to its current location in 1936. Although the buildings were destroyed in the Great Kanto Earthquake, the main image of Amida Nyorai, paintings of Prince Shotoku and the Seven High Priests, and the memorial register survived unharmed.
