天誅組の本陣跡とされる石碑や、代官の首を洗ったとされる手水鉢が境内に残っています。境内はそれほど広くはありませんが、整えられた落ち着いた雰囲気の寺院です。本堂や鐘楼はモダンな印象を与え、御朱印はお賽銭箱の横にある建物にインターホンで依頼していただくことができます。
