A temple of the Jodo-shu (Pure Land) sect, with Amida Nyorai (Amithaba Buddha) as its principal enshrined figure. It relocated to its current site in 1928 CE (Showa 3). Within the precincts, statues of Shirafune Jizo (White Powder Jizo) and Awashima DaiMyojin (Great Deity Awashima) are enshrined.
History
慶長16年（1611）に便蓮社方誉上人勝阿円超和尚が開山し、両国矢ノ倉に創建されました。正保元年（1644）に浅草永住町へ移転し、昭和3年（1928）に現在の地に移転しました。文化3年（1806）の類焼や大正12年（1923）の震災により堂宇を焼失した歴史があります。
