合羽橋通りからほど近い場所に位置し、一見するとお寺には見えにくい外観ですが、浄土宗の寺院です。境内には幕末の剣豪・島田虎之助や、鏝絵で有名な伊豆の長八の墓所があります。周辺環境は繁華街に近く、夜間は近隣まで音が響くこともあります。
