境内は静寂な雰囲気に包まれ、特に紅葉の時期には敷きもみじの美しさが際立ちます。参道には急な石段があり、坂道を含むため歩きやすい靴での訪問が適しています。本堂では、鑑賞者の動きに合わせて景色が変わる「動く襖絵」を見ることができます。
