Suigetsu-san Unryuu-ji
豊田市四郷町山畑78
A Soto sect temple with the Holy Kannon (Avalokiteshvara) as its principal image.
History
Originally located in Hamagorai Village (now Kinmachi) in 1627 CE (Kangyo 4), the temple was relocated to Shigo Village, Terakawahara (now Miyashita Kawahara) due to flooding of the Yashiro River. Later, seeking higher ground due to floods from the Kago River, it moved to its current location in 1656 CE (Meireki 2). The current main hall was rebuilt in 1922 CE (Taisho 11).
