The main hall (honden) was constructed in 1897 CE (Meiji 30), and the worship hall (haiden) was built in 1906 CE (Meiji 41). It was elevated to the status of a village shrine in 1917 CE (Taisho 6). In 1971 CE (Shōwa 46), Izumo Shrine (enshrining Ōkuninushi-no-Kami) was merged into it.
