History
Ikebon-in Nichiun founded the temple, which was established in 1612 CE (Keicho 17) under the name Ikebon-bo. At the time of its founding, it possessed a spacious main hall and storehouse, but these were destroyed by fire in 1867 CE (Keio 3). The main hall and storehouse were rebuilt in 1919 CE (Taisho 8).
