くらやみ坂の途中に位置する、こじんまりとした雰囲気の寺院です。境内には六地蔵や、松尾芭蕉ゆかりの句碑が点在しており、一部は保護のためにガラスの枠で囲まれています。駐車場は比較的広いものの、寺の規模自体は小さく、落ち着いた環境で参拝できます。
