A Buddhist temple established in 745 CE as a Kokubuniji (Provincial Nunnery). Its highlights include an image of Jūichimen Kannon (Eleven-Faced Kannon), a garden, and a bathhouse.

This temple offers many highlights, including special public viewings of the National Treasure standing image of Jūichimen Kannon (Eleven-Faced Kannon) and a famous scenic garden where visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers and plants. The main hall and treasure hall also house numerous other Buddhist statues and paintings. The temple accepts requests for Goshuin (a shrine's calligraphic seal stamp) and Goshuin-chō (a dedicated stamp book), and a parking lot is available nearby.
