福沢諭吉の永眠の地として知られ、境内には関連する碑や像があります。高台に位置しているため、周囲を見渡せる見晴らしが良いのが特徴です。本堂は近代的ですが、六地蔵の周辺には趣のある言葉が掲げられています。観光地ではないため、節度を持って参拝するのが望ましい場所です。
