It is said that at the time of its founding, it was a small shrine called Shirasasa Inari, and the exact year of its founding is unknown. It is also said to have been constructed or built in 1648 CE (Shoho 5) or 1669 CE (Kanbun 9). In 1774 CE (An'ei 3), it was rebuilt with Fushimi Inari enshrined to clarify its origins.
