The lineage was later inherited by the monk Sekimun Yumei, and the temple became a renowned great monastery serving as the head of the region in Shinshu (Nagano). Takeda Shingen studied privately under Zen Master Tenkei Gencho, who is considered the seventh restorer of the temple. The temple crest is the Takeda diamond.
