琵琶湖を臨む落ち着いた環境にあり、立派な趣のある本堂や重要文化財の書院が建っています。電話での問い合わせや参拝の際の対応は親切丁寧ですが、書院の拝観には事前連絡が必要な場合があるため、事前に確認するのがおすすめです。大津祭の時期には仮設トイレが設置されます。
