出雲大社の参道を下る途中の右側に位置する小さな末社です。本宮へ参拝する前に、身についた穢れを祓い心身を清めるための場所として知られています。お願い事をするよりも、感謝の気持ちを伝えながら清めを受けるのが良いとされており、平日の午後は比較的静かに参拝できる環境です。
