The founding of the shrine is estimated to be around 1703 CE (Genroku 13) based on the munefuda (a wooden plaque placed on the roof during construction). The honden (main hall) is built in the Kirizuma-zukuri (gabled roof) style with kokera-buki (thin wood shingle) roofing and Shinmei-zukuri architecture. The stage facing the shrine buildings, called 'Horaku-za', was built in 1882 and was designated as a Tangible Folk Cultural Property of Aichi Prefecture in 1976.
