山門の脇には立派な殉国碑があり、戦没者を祀っています。周辺は昔ながらの田園風景が広がり、東には山辺の道があります。門は閉ざされている場合もありますが、脇から入ることができ、歴史を感じさせる地蔵様などを見ることができます。
