History
Created in 1622 CE (Genna 8), this shrine serves as the tutelary deity of the Okada district. Following the Haibutsu Kishaku (anti-Buddhist) movement that continued until the Meiji Restoration, the community came to enshrine Jinmusha as their tutelary deity. In 1957, the shrine received ancient timber from Ise Jingu (Ise Grand Shrine) as a gift, which was used to construct the current shrine buildings.
