門前には新発田重家の銅像と廟があり、境内は清潔に保たれています。本堂や羅漢堂は見応えがあり、季節の催しに合わせてひな飾りが彩られることもあります。駐車場は寺の横や向かい側にあり、周辺には他の寺院も集まっているため、巡礼にも適した環境です。
