日本最大級の木造釈迦如来像を拝観でき、大仏の台座内には「地獄極楽巡り」の体験ができる施設があります。地獄巡りの通路は非常に暗く、手すりがありながらも独特の緊張感があるのが特徴です。境内には本堂や五重塔があり、桜との調和も美しい場所です。
