History
Founded on August 15, 1625 (Kan'ei 2), the shrine was rebuilt in September 1843 (Tenpō 14). In 1906 (Meiji 39), it was designated as a Village Shrine by imperial decree. The worship hall and shrine office were completely destroyed in the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake (Taishō 12) but were rebuilt in November 1928 (Shōwa 3). In 2006 (Heisei 18), a commemorative monument was erected to celebrate the success of the Nana-hidamachi Land Readjustment Project and the construction of the new shrine buildings.
