In 1937, the Inari Kōsha (Inari Congregation) Shonan Branch, an affiliated organization of Inari Taisha, was established at Shonan Coast, and former head priest Noboru Takayama took office as administrator. In 1941, the current shrine grounds were designated, and on May 12, 1943, a branch spirit of Inari Taisha was enshrined. The shrine was founded by relocating nearby Inari shrines that had declined following the Great Kanto Earthquake.
