History
The date of founding is unknown, but the current main hall (honden) was built in 1833 CE (Tenpō 4). In 1894 CE (Meiji 27), the shrine was relocated to its current site to avoid smoke and sparks from the Nippon Railway Omiya Factory. In 1953 CE (Shōwa 28), the shrine buildings were reoriented from facing west to facing south.
