建長寺の正面入口である総門は、非常に迫力のある大きな門です。門の内側には拝観受付があり、入場料は500円です。境内は手入れが行き届いており、桜の季節には桜並木を歩くことができます。駐車場は有料で、境内には売店が少ないため飲み物を持参するのが便利です。
