国の重要文化財である黄金堂には、平安時代から江戸時代にかけての膨大な仏像や、羽黒山三神合祭殿の御本尊が安置されています。三十三観音や仁王像を間近で拝むことができ、御朱印の授与も可能です。参拝時間は限定されていますが、特定の日は終日参拝でき、向かいの寺院に声をかけることで拝観できる場合もあります。
