History
Founded in 1574 CE (Tensho 2) by Kurosawa Naichin as the patron and Reion Sogen, the third abbot of Tenne-ji, as the founding priest. In 1649 CE (Keian 2), the temple received a seal document granting a domain of 10 koku. After a fire in 1840 CE (Tenpo 11), it was rebuilt in 1850 CE (Kaei 3).
