境内の本堂に向かう参道脇には、平城宮跡の保存に尽力した棚田嘉十郎の墓地があります。境内には空海の手掘りと伝わる井戸があり、地蔵菩薩の石像が安置されています。正倉院北の裏道を進めば東大寺二月堂方面へ向かうことができます。
