Futsunushi-no-Okami, Yamato Takeru-no-Mikoto, Tokugawa Ieyasu (Tosho Daigongen)

History

The shrine's origins are said to date back to 1185 CE (Genryaku 2), when Kasai Kiyoshige enshrined a branch spirit (Bunrei) from Katori Jingu (Katori Grand Shrine). In 1875 (Meiji 8), it was designated as a Goshu (provincial shrine). After World War II, it became the religious corporation Kasai Shrine. It is also recognized as the birthplace of Matsuri-bayashi. During the Edo period, Tokugawa Ieyasu granted the shrine a Goshuin (a shrine's calligraphic seal stamp), which led to Ieyasu being enshrined there.

Blessings

Through the power of Tsukiyomi no Kami (Tsukiyomi, the deity of the moon), the shrine is revered for self-improvement, success in competitions, and the fulfillment of various wishes. Additionally, because Tokugawa Ieyasu is enshrined, it is considered a symbol for career advancement and business success.
