In 1948, the temple was founded in Nagoya after receiving a branch of the spiritual power from Ichibata-ji in Shimane Prefecture. In 2012, the completion of the Rurikō-dōn (Hall of Luminous Light) was marked by the installation of the world's largest pure gold leaf statue of Yakushi Nyorai (Medicine Buddha) in Nirvana.
