春には見事な桜が咲き誇り、夜間はライトアップも行われるなど、花見のスポットとして賑わいます。境内にはベンチがあり、休憩をしながら桜を楽しめる環境です。周辺には城跡やカフェもあり、歴史ある風情を感じられる場所ですが、駐車場の場所は分かりにくいとの指摘もあります。
