山深く自然に囲まれた静かな環境に位置しています。庫裏は白峰で唯一の木羽葺き屋根で、屋根の上には太鼓堂があります。また、毎年梅雨前に屋根の板を一枚ずつ葺き直す「くれ返し」という伝統的な行事が行われています。
