駅前の循環バス停が目の前にあるため、市内観光の際に立ち寄りやすい立地です。住職や副住職は親しみやすく、分かりやすい説明をしてくれると評判です。なお、牡鹿観音霊場の札所の一つですが、御朱印の受付は行っていないため注意が必要です。
