History
The shrine originated in 1885 (Meiji 18) when a small shrine was dedicated as the guardian deity for the development of three districts. It was renamed Nishino Shrine in 1899 (Meiji 32). The shrine buildings were rebuilt in 1967 (Showa 42), and large-scale expansions and renovations were carried out in 1983 (Showa 58) to commemorate the centennial of its founding. In 2019 (Reiwa 1), a new ceremony hall was constructed, and branch spirits (mifurei) were enshrined there.
