金戒光明寺の塔頭に位置する、こじんまりとした静かな寺院です。境内には法然上人が腰掛けたとされる「紫雲石」や、会津藩士の墓地などがあります。夏には蓮の鉢が多く並び、秋には見事な紅葉を楽しめるほか、サルスベリなどの草花も美しく、落ち着いた雰囲気で参拝できます。
