Kanshuji Temple
関市小屋名974
A Soto Zen Buddhist temple located in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, with the mountain name Kikkosama. It is the 18th station of the Chuno 88 Temple Pilgrimage.
History
In 1732 CE (Kyoho 17), the daughter of Kameyama Hanbee from Koyana Village, known as Kaigaku Rishunni, relocated the three statues of the Amida Hall to the current site and established the temple by inviting Enju Ryukai, the third abbot of Entonji, as the founding master. In the early Edo period, an Amida Hall enshrining Amida Nyorai, Yakushi Nyorai, and Koshin existed in Koyana.
