西国三十三所観音霊場の札所であり、如意輪観音を祀っています。境内は広大で、正面駐車場から観音堂までは少し歩く必要があります。総門や長等神社側の受付から入ると観音堂へのアクセスがスムーズです。御朱印の受付は観音堂で行われています。
