中山道の坂を登った階段の先に位置し、ふもとには石仏や五輪塔が集積されています。境内はコンパクトですが、鎮守の森に囲まれた落ち着いた雰囲気です。毎年3月の旧暦の初午には初午祭が行われるほか、周辺には趣のある石像も見られます。
