落語家の古今亭志ん生や古今亭志ん朝の墓所があり、ドラマの舞台にもなった寺院です。境内には閻魔大王の坐像が祀られた閻魔堂があり、かつては縁日で賑わっていたことでも知られています。墓参りや参拝の際に、歴史や行事に関する説明を受けることも可能です。
