比企氏ゆかりの史跡として知られ、境内の歴代墓地や堀、古いお堂、鐘楼などの雰囲気が良いと評されています。枝垂れ桜や鐘つき堂も見どころの一つです。参道は道幅が非常に狭いため、車での通行には注意が必要で、本堂脇の駐車場を利用するのが便利です。
